Huw Williams from the Gwent Music Support Team came in to deliver a workshop all about Traditional Welsh Folk Music.

All the children took part in the workshop and everyone loved it!

We learnt about lots of traditional Welsh instruments like a telyn (harp), a pib (pipe) and a pibgorn (horn pipe).

We also learnt that when you make a pipe or whistle longer the sound it makes gets lower.

Huw showed us the steps of a traditional Welsh folk dance.

Then we all had lots of fun having a go ourselves!!

We all had so much fun and learnt a lot about Welsh Music. We would love Huw to come back sometime and teach us some more!!
